"Christianity started here[Syria] and it won't disappear from there. We have to encourage our Christians to be strong,"

Saying these words in the Hope of desperation Bishop Melki of the Syriac Catholic Church continues to advocate for peace between the fighting factions in Syria.

He has condemned the recent attacks on the Syriac-speaking city of Maloula and is scared that what has happened in Iraq will happen in Syria.

We must continue to pray for the ancient land of Syria.

St Sharbil, St Ephrem, St Maroun, St Isaac...pray for Syria!

Through the prayers of the Birth-Giver of God Maryam God Bless you all.
